Monsters In The Blackness - Poem by Tim Vallie

Monsters lurking under the bed
Bogie men of legend come
Shadows dancing in your head
Never sure what they are from
Demons dancing in the dark
In the corner of your eye
Was that a roar, or just a bark
You fear the dark but don't know why
They exist if we believe
These things that haunt our dreams
In our minds they are conceived
The things that feed on screams
They exist inside our mind
Because they exist within our soul
Try hard enough and you will find
Your fears you can control
The things that live in darkness
Live only through your fear
The Monsters in the blackness
Exist between your ears.
