Moon-Lake - Poem by Jacques du Lumerie

i

the moon
crying
moon-lake

ii

war< br>comes early
and silently...

iii

the baby
smiles
at the gun
aimed for
it's head

iv

the smile
lingers
as life
goes

silently
coldly

v
red moon
crying
moon-lake

of blood

vi

the killer
looks up at the moon
and says of it

'it's beautiful
tonight'

vii

war
co mes early
and silently...

viii

the moon

moon-lake
