Moonboat Poem by Tsunami HiroshiSu

Moonboat

I sit here and watch the stars twinkle above me
And I say, “I’m gonna touch a star someday.”
“And how will you get there? ” they ask scathingly
“Will you fly? Sprout wings and fly? ”
“I’ll go in my Moonboat, my silvery Moonboat
We’ll fly across the sky snatching stardust
Catching falling stars to save them for a rainy day
I’ll fly in my Moonboat, my silvery Moonboat
Down the lazy river of the Milky Way
We’ll paddle all night till the sun dispels
That Moonboat, that silvery Moonboat
Then we’ll glide back to earth
To await the coming night
And my next flight
In my Moonboat, my silvery Moonboat.”
