Moonlight Poem by Manabendra Lal Bhuyan

Moonlight

The beautiful dark sky of night,
I see it today, engulfed by the moonlight.
Through the trees, between the clouds,
It has slowly burned the tranquility of the quiet night.

It's a noise, it's a noise.
Hiding the floating buoys.
If I could complain, I would for Arson,
The Sun escaping by the evening, with a sense of poise.

The night was having its own stillness,
The moon tickled the peace with finesse.
Today the sky feels imposed, hard and bright...
Marbling the inherent eeries, into piercing shrillness.

The Bats today had failed to shadow the light,
Even the clouds today concede their fight,
The scattered branches and leaves hold barely any challenge,
While the moon stood unbothered, with borrowed might.

The Darkness today suffers in shears,
It wept quietly, bleeding with tears.
The Sun's herald kept preening with insolence,
While the cradle of night shivers in fear.
