Morning To Night Poem by Mark Schowengerdt

Morning To Night

Speeding away from the light
To start sweating before it rises
Ready for the early surprises
Equipped with no disguises

As the sun chastises
No one empathizes
Because we're all compromised
Until the job is neutralized

Then the colors are advertised
What is to come is recognized
Daytime seems to be marginalized
As we speed off into the dark
