Mother Poem by venkata lakshmi narasimharao

Mother

MOTHER
Oh! Mother, you gave me this wonderful life on this exciting earth.
Who can measure your incalculable and incomparable worth?
I was a bit lazy or very busy on Mother's day
But I have never swerved from your Royal way

You gave your delicious milk from your breast.
But I kicked you on your holy chest.
You bore me for nine months in your womb.
I never ignore or insult you even if I go to my tomb

You protected me like a diamond shield
You hesitated to send me to our corn field
You cleaned my excretion when I was a child
Sometimes my behavior might be very wild

I may be the greatest king
But a small kid in your swing
My wife has taken me away from you bit
It doesn't mean your presence I will quit

I am your and never ill- treat you even for fun
You are slightly jealous of my wife's role in our inn
She is also mother to my siblings
They are your real darlings
