Mothers - Poem by Sam Campbell
I don't understand
Why a mother yells at her child
Why they say we're a lost cause
Why they keep hurting us.
But most of all
Why they keep us
Why they love us
Why they slave us.
What I understand most is
Why they want us to succeed
Why they want us out of their house
Why they have us.
