Mouse Poem by Saniya Galeyeva

Mouse

Once
You called me your little mouse -
that was the compliment of all times.

Such good luck!
I feel as snug as a bug in a rug
In your warm and soothing hug.

I am not as pretty as a picture.
It is not my feature.
I am not as proud as a peacock.
It would be awkward.

I am not a stunning beauty.
I am not a fearless fighter.
I'm not used to shouting, shooting
And I won't be a bright one.

I'm a small and grayish mouse
In a small and grayish house.

Oh, yes, I am stuck.
I am head over ears, seems like that.

But
What great luck!
In your warm and soothing hug
I feel as happy as a lark!

I hope I will be your mouse
For ages, not only for hours.
