Mouths Speak, Hearts Conceive

It never rains but that it pours
Most eyes see fear and dread
To fools this life shuts tight its doors
Until the day they’re dead

Though mouths cry out both night and day
Though eyes cry bitter tears
Yet few seek Christ life’s only way
To vanquish doubts and fears

Though mouths may utter sweet remorse
Though eyes may seek release
The world seeks yet the devil’s course
And finds thereby no peace

True peace is found on one small road
Upon a blood soaked hill
Where each can lay their heavy load
And drink of truth their fill

But man’s so wise so full of pride
We choose the songs we sing
But if God’s Son is not inside
What will our harvest bring

How does man see Salvation’s plan
Why should He even care
Why would God die to save a man
Who fails to see He’s there

While many seek their ivory towers
A few seek Christ above
The Father’s thoughts are not as ours
His righteous heart’s full love

Let wisdom seek The Higher ground
Be rid of worldly shame
Make sure in Christ you’re truly found
When God calls out your name
