Move On Poem by Kitty Marie Lucas

Move On

don't think the same feelings
mean i want you back
don't think the things i've said
make up for what we lack

it's okay
i was fighting for something,
and you just gave up
i was crying over things
that you never really loved

you never thought the way i did
never saw the things i hid

you drive it through the heart of me,
the fate so sharp;
the 'meant to be'
still hurts so bad, can't have it all
when it wasn't all it seemed.

nothing is sacred to you
nothing is safe

i was waiting for love,
abandoned and lost
i was giving so much,
ignoring the cost

you'll never feel the way i do,
brushing off the pain from you

don't worry,
my heart just broke again.
it's okay, forget about me,
they all do in the end
