Moving On Poem by Angela Wybrow

Moving On

It's been a few months,
since you've been gone,
And, the time will soon come
for us to move on.

This is the only home,
which I've ever known;
Here, from a child,
into a woman, I've grown.

Within these four walls,
there's been laughter and tears;
Here, we've shared our hopes,
our dreams, and our fears.

I stand at my window,
And stare at the view,
But, in a few months,
the view will be new.

We're the only family,
who have called this place home,
But, very soon, I'll be leaving,
And living all on my own.

It's been a few months,
since the day you passed,
And, our grace period
is galloping along very fast.

I just can't t imagine
someone else living here,
And, I'm sure, when I leave,
I'll shed many a tear.

With such a huge change,
I will struggle to cope;
That, in the future, I'll be happy,
I can only just hope.
