Moving On Poem by Nia Williams

Moving On

Rating: 5.0

Excitement
Lies ahead
Preparations begin
Items emerge from
The neglected space
Memories
Unveiled amongst
School photographs, Bob Dylan Vinyls,
And the dusty diary
From 1980

Stock builds
Taking over every corner
The space we once called home
Now taken over by
Aladdin’s Glory Hole.

what i like about your poems Nia is that you can go back to the and read them over and over again, finding something new and interesting everytime, there's a lot of 'space' in your poems, which gives the reader the opportunity to lose themselves in your poem. In this poem, the line 'the space we once called home' is very powefull, and i can visualize it with ease..well done x
