Deep tones plead with my ears
Intoxicating melodies draw me in
Voices soft and tender caress me
Lost in rhythms dark
Causing my heart to beat in time
My body to fall in step

I follow blindly
Knowing only the sound
Aware only of the darkness
Lost in the syncopation
My voice rising to sing in harmony
The clouds part

Feeling only the words
I sing my soul
Chill running along my spine
Throat open to fill the sky
Pale blue light fills the dark
Jubilation fills my heart

Beautiful freedom awakening inside
My heart suddenly blossoming
I am who I want to be when I sing
Emotion fills the void within
One with the heavens
At one with myself
