MUSIC THE LANGUAGE OF LOVE?
"If music be the food of love, play on…"
Let it deepen into my heart, even up to the marrow of my bone.
Oh my Lord, give me excess of it.
Let it leave the candle of my heart lit.
Listen, it's love that sounds,
in the heart, that's where it's found.
Oh that strain came over my ear
with the sweetest sound - it's love I hear.
My Lord, I will sing a song.
I will sing of your love all day long.
St. Cecilia did, and still sings.
I too will sing of heaven's glorious things.
I will not charm with deceit,
like the Pied Piper of Hamelin did.
As you like it,
I will play it.
We'll dance to your tune.
We'll dance under the light of the moon.
It's all in the sound of music -
Ah, love is just fantastic!
Was it not love's desire,
that urged Handel to write the ‘Messiah'?
T'was so.
I too will love and adore you like I never did before.
Even Antonio Stradivarius with his violin,
Would not set one's heart this way with love ringin'.
The bells of St. Clement are ringing - ding dong, ding dong.
I hear them sing of love, a beautiful song.
Ah, the ethereal beauty of music…
What a special blend of magic.
Sing with me Cherubim.
Sing oh Seraphim.
Ah such extra ordinary art,
is pleasant to the ear like a heavenly touch.
Music from above.
O, Music - the language of love.
