My All Poem by Ronald Speight

My All

I gave her my all
Placed her wants over my needs
Dropped everything at the
Sound of her call
Did my best only for a smile
And I don’t regret it

I can’t even say I have been with her
Because I was always alone
Selflessly carrying the burden
While she walks off with the spoils
That’s not a relationship I feel used,
Abandoned, worthless

But they say your young you’ll get over it
I suppose I will but I will always
Remember the girl I gave all
My heart to who still ended reaching
For more
