My Brothers Poem by Garreth Eyssen

My Brothers

Who was turning nine
Who was turning five
When I decided to become alive

Who was there to show they care
Who was around when I hit the ground
Who was there to show they care
Who used to hide my teddy bear

Who was there when I cried
Who looked after me when grandpa died
Who became my friend
I will love them to the end

Who listened to my fear's
Who challenged me and drove back the tears
Who listened when I was down
Who turned my frown aroun'

Who took the time to realign,
My broken heart that was shattered apart
Who smiled at me when times were hard
Who shouted at me when we moved apart

Who pushed me down when I got to big
Who laughed with me when I wanted to do a gig
Who threatened me when I wanted to smoke
Who guaranteed I would choke

I will remember these days until the end
I will cherish these days my dear friend

Don’t be scared this is not the end
It's to be continued

In my memory it will be saved
Till the day I will pray
Keep them safe

My dear brothers...
