My Duty Poem by Diana Americano

i wont cry
i have to try
no more tears
hide my fears
i can do this
i have to do this
i must stay strong
i will not fall
it is my turn
i want to be their cure
their cure for pain
i want them to be sane
i will bring life back to them
i will carry their anger,
their sadness,
their fear,
i will stand my ground
i will surround them
i will not let pain close
i will bring back happiness
sanity,
joy,
and family
my duty is now beginning
i will not give up
no matter what
i will save my family
