My Eternal Light Poem by Abdurraheem Abdurrafiu Adeyemi

My Eternal Light

Àgbèkẹ, My Eternal Light
Àgbèkẹ, your name still dances on my tongue,
Like a sacred song forever young.
Though you've journeyed far beyond my sight,
You remain my soul's soft guiding light.
You were the root where my strength grew,
A gentle heart, so pure, so true.
In your embrace, I found my peace,
A love no distance could ever cease.
Àgbèkẹ, Ìyá mi, your wisdom stays,
Living in my nights and shaping my days.
Your prayers still guard me from above,
Wrapped in your endless, quiet love.
I remember your laughter, warm and deep,
The promises your eyes would keep.
Even in silence, I hear your voice,
Reminding my heart to still rejoice.
Though tears may fall when I call your name,
My love for you will stay the same.
For death is but a passing door,
And you live in me forevermore.
Sunsets whisper of your grace,
I see your smile in every place.
Àgbèkẹ, though you've gone ahead,
Your love is the path on which I tread.
