My Father Poem by Mezu Jonathan Okigbo

My Father

Someone, someone, someone
That person has a golden heart
That person provides for me
Makes a blanket for me
But sleeps in the cold
Sick
But hurries me to the hospital
Work, work, work
And work, work, work
And that person that works so hard
Is no other person but my father
And his heart is as pure as the truth
And works so hard
He is not paid by me
Thank you is not enough
