My Final Joy Poem by Suki Nakamura

My Final Joy

Rating: 5.0

at first it was a mere
pushing &
pulling of my ring
in my finger

i like the feeling
of the rubbing
and the sound of
a hush of hard metal
to my skin

and then i feel
so dissatisfied
so empty like i am
an air inside a cellophane
i feel the
itch and i scratch it

until finally i decided
to throw the
wedding ring away

i am firm
i will not look for it
on any day.
