My Generation Poem by Jammie Plummer

My Generation

My generation is the lost one.
must use hair to hide my face,
my emotions.
listening to anger music,
we can relate to too much
skinny means beautiful,
have to show more skin.
sex because I am wanted for once.
all dying for social acceptance,
that will never come.
My generation is the lost one
working to get nowhere,
goals set too high.
never enough food or money,
or love for that matter.
all form broken homes,
confused on what love is.
reality tv not real.
they blame everything on the media.
My generation is the lost one.
