His cool hand, in the heat of summer days,
His warm hand, in the cold of winter nights,
Lovingly cradles my head
And gently soothes my body.
And his mystic eyes,
Set in his transcendent face,
Overflowing with blessings,
Tenderly enfold my soul.
I adjure you, nature's darlings—
You beautiful breezes of field and grove—
Stir not, awaken not me
from my drunken state,
Till he himself is willing
To leave me alone.
But he will not—
For I am his own image,
And in my mirror
He beholds himself.
He is my glorious Love—
My substance,
My essence,
The hidden Self
Whom I have always been.
