My Grandmother Poem by Anusruti Saha

My Grandmother

Serene and White as Snow

Gazing at the World with her undefiled eyes of purity

Shuts her pain swiftly yet laughs when situation demands

Keeps ordering and adjusting her things with detailed sincerity

Mirroring her heart through her watery eyes

Looks after her grandchildren with love
Sharing the bits of her meal

Makes a house a home

The lines on her forehead vents the unpredictable ordeals of life

Yet accepts them with a welcoming heart

Anticipating her life after death in the home of lord!

In search of Unconditional love.
