My Heaven Poem by Wendy Moravec

My Heaven

Warm, sweet air brushes my face

I walk beneath lazy palm trees

Sun kissing my cheeks

Water lapping at my feet

The foam running between my toes

Slicing paths into the sand

Creating designs I never knew existed

Peace and serenity fill my chest

Replacing the empty feelings of yesterday

I fall to the ground

My fingers raking the gritty sand

I lay back on its warmth

Letting the bright sunshine blind me

To the world around me

I’m in my perfect heaven.
