My Homeland Poem by Seraza Rizgar Cellikanî

My Homeland

In my homeland
The mountains were, where i felt mighty
The flows whispered the sense of life
The trees were always there for me
The sun loved to shine
The animals taught me about nature
The village was all i had
Where i was part of every man and woman
The life was simple and true

Now I'm a stranger
Now I'm lost and lonely
Now i hover in the sky
Where they blow me away
Now i'm laughed at
Now i'm so far away
From happiness and security
Now i'm a foreigner to the world
'Cause they took away
My homeland
Took me away from
My homeland
My Kurdistan
