My Judgement Day Poem by Michael Saurer

My Judgement Day

My mind is racing
Never shutting down
The trial I’m facing
Is making me frown

My future’s at stake
It’s all or nothing
Not a piece of cake
No use in crying

Sometimes
It feels like
Judgement day
Closing in

It’s not the end of the line
But much depends on it
Don’t tell me all is fine
It’s not the easiest bit

I was never a whiner
I took every challenge
Since I was a minor
I always kept my stance

But now
It feels like
Judgement day
Closing in

The day’s coming near
But I’ll take my chance
And when it’s finally here
I hope not to be in trance

I’m not going to quit
That isn’t my style
It’s not a single bit
Of my profile

No matter
If judgement day
Or examination day
I’ll try my best
