My Last Poem by Jenna Dandurand

My Last

my last words to you
before i die-
you lost your chance
to be that loving person,
that shoulder to cry on,
that perfect boy.
you lost your chance
when you said those words.
i don't care.
i don't need you.
that hurt, boy,
and so you lost.
i'm not a mindless
idiot for you to play with.
before i die,
my last words for you-
why would i care
for someone who
renounced me before
i had a chance to even
like you?
boy, just think. listen.
i hear your voice lie to me-
i know that you want
what you can't have.
you lost your chance.
i've died,
and you'll never get that
chance again.
