My Love - Poem by Evie smith

You were not perfect
or anything near.
You were you
and that is what i loved
Nothing chanfed with you
or altered
I feel so useless
So unloved and worthless
But you were true

I am choosing to believe you
do not ask me why
Maybe to ease my mind
Or to keep you on this pedestool
I don't know
But i still love you
I still want you here
with me
Safe and sound

You were not perfect
you were you
My love
