In the middle of the chaos,
when the world begins to roar,
She is the quiet sanctuary,
the peace within my core.

When the storm is at its loudest,
And the shadows start to fall,
She remains the steady anchor,
That stands guard through it all.

If my heart is ever hardened
or my temper starts to rise,
She does not meet the fire
With the lightning in her eyes.

She reaches through softly,
To calm down the soul,
With a gentle word of healing,
that can make the broken whole.

She is the grace within our home,
the mother of my seed,
Providing every comfort,
And a fulfilling every need.

She raises up our children with a soft and guiding hand,
Building up a future on a love that's built to stand.
She never rubs her shoulders or contends to take the lead,
But honors every choice I make in word and in the deed.

She sees me as the captain
She trusts the way I steer,
Removing every doubt
And casting out my every fear.

When my path is obstructed'
And I find that I am stuck,
She is more than a blessing
Or a simple stroke of luck.

She blends into my vision,
Until our goals are just the same,
And in my weary situation,
She breathes life into my flame.

And when I am not present to defend my path or pride,
She stands a loyal sentry with a strength not to hide.
She guards my name with honor while the world is far away
A true and faithful lover, every hour of the day.
