You placed your hand in my heart -
what were you thinking when love took hold?
It couldn't last forever, but you gave me hope;
You took away mortality and gave me
the freedom to believe.
Everything about you was beyond the magnificence of dreams.
You gave me the visions held within your heart;
your depth of love for life and nature.
You procured within me a need for life
and you let me see with your beautiful eyes
what majesty there is in love -
the courage to fight and cherish all in hope.
You believed in a better love
beyond that seen or felt or touched -
a love that isn't felt, but dwells and lives to give.
It gives beauty and turns the dullest of the dull,
the weakest of the weak into something
precious, beautiful and meek.
Your love has wings and comes from the realms of angels.
My love is you, and your wings give it flight.
