come here, this is my undoing:
here in the velvet of night where all began
and where all will end;
this black moist veil embraces my being
here, i am born, and here too i die;
for you are my undoing.
come hither, my beloved, on the warm sands
where we once sat
counting the stars like beads of rosaries
where lips and hearts and souls were one word:
where lovers join their voices with the heavens -
i could have sworn you were my eternity.
come here, my undoing and my joy
here, where everything ends and begins
taste me, take my being, adorn it with flowers
bless it with sunbeams and dreams
hold me, ensnare me, till i bleed with starlight
in this ecstasy we die, and live all over again.
