My Love, The Truth Poem by Cristobal Benjumea

My Love, The Truth

My love crumbles like cheddar cheese
apart from that is mills and boon, material
a sort of idealism, fantasy,
which created imaginary girlfriends, that inhabited reject me not, land
propelled by alcohol
this inability to accept rejection came between
me and a good love life
a satisfying love life
