My Lunar Dream Poem by Tor Magnor Solvang

My Lunar Dream

A ticket to the moon, they say,
A far-fetched dream, just miles away.
But I, I long to reach that sphere,
And spend my final days up there.

Not for the science, charts, and light,
But quiet days and starlit night.
A silent world, a dusty floor,
To dream of things I've known before.

Perhaps a hollow space inside,
Where echoes gently softly ride.
A secret kept, a hidden room,
To welcome me into my tomb.

Though science scoffs and facts deny,
I'll search for truth within the sky.
If luck should smile and fortune gleam,
I'll find my peace, a lunar dream.
