My Mother Is My Friend - Poem by deja allen

You said you would never leave me
You said you would hold me tight
Wherever i looked for you it seems as though you brought great delight
As i sit in my room each night with you on my mind
When really i know you miss me too
I miss the times when you said i love you
That's when i start to cry
As i see you walk into the gates of heaven
I say to myself
I am loosing someone close to me again
Then i say until we meet again my dearest friend
