My Name

Though born in sin walking in shame
Along hell’s wayward path
Till love revealed a brand new name
Would save me from the wrath

I had but seek The Living Christ
Humbly on bended knee
Seeking why He was sacrificed
Seeking for Him to free

I’m lifting hands and stamping feet
Singing the sweetest song
I’ve joined Salvation’s grand elite
And know where I belong

How swiftly love can change one’s soul
Give sight unto the blind
Can heal a heart can make one whole
Can change an errant mind

My soul is free I’m safe and sound
Just like a bird in flight
I’m souring up to higher ground
Towards the realm of Light

Praise God The Father God The Son
God Holy Ghost within
For every fight and battle won
And those I’m sure to win

I’m praising God for all His love
For all He’s had to share
Engraving my name high above
Within His house of prayer

Within Life’s book, within His hand
Daily on Jesus’ mind
Even within The Promised Land
My name’s now there to find
