My New Special Somebody - Poem by Karen Montegrande

I don't know what I'm ought to do,
'Cause it melts me by just merely looking at you
and i really can't deny what's true,
By the looks in your eyes it says you've got someone new,
I felt sad i can never be with you, 'cause i know you deserve someone better
but when i see you with him i often see him make you cry,
And it hurts me more to see you crying as he walks away,
But he'll win you back the next day,
And that's just unfair to see,
'Cause when it was my time i wasn't given another chance to stay
instead you just let me walk away,

He plays you on you just don't know,
He goes out and lies but it really doesn't show,
He's good and ideal as what you told me but i saw him cheat a couple of times
and you didn't believe me,
It's never easy letting go,
But when you get pushed so far you'll learn to open those eyes
and it makes you see,
Love makes us lovers blind 'cause that someone makes us happy,
But too much love can kill and can leave you breathless on the ground,
It will leave you empty and helpless without any sound,

Love makes each journey a bit exciting,
but when we fall we blame love and we get nothing,
The truth sets each hearts free but some are tied up choked and unhappy,
Rules are broken as each promises break but sometimes you stay for just ones sake,
Love can't be viewed as a big responsibility,
Love is what each of our eyes can't see,
'cause i learned so much when you dumped me,
Love is sometimes a choice of one to be happy and sometimes love is just a game most people play,
but thanks to you i had one explanation of love for me,
Now that i have someone new with me,
Love simply spells Y.O.U. to me and that goes to my special somebody.
I'm so happy.
