My One Parent Poem by Julietta Isla

My One Parent

Her life is filled with more downs then ups, she struggles for us to have what we want, but the only thing i want is her love, she keeps it hidden from me, because she knows she wasn't really there to raise me, get to know me my lovely mother, i know your favorite color, number, your memories, but you know non of that of me, i maybe your first child, and the oldest of the bunch, but please don't hide those emotions toward me, i know how your motherly touch has an effect upon me, those comforting eyes see things i dont realize, her voice calms my stressed out self, the sweet fragrance she beholds burns through my nostrils, oh mother you do so much for me, but the only thing we don't try to do is be close to one another, please set those emotions free, your my only parent i have left, don't abandon me.
