My Pathkeeper Poem by Ryan Lee Morris

My Pathkeeper

If I chose to listen to what man had to say
Elvis would be still living today
The world would be flat
And that would be that
For my answers I have to pray
Only Jesus knows the way

How many times has man
Filled me with hope
When everything failed
Then I had to cope
With the fallout from their advice
But Jesus, He paid the price

Because of the cross
We all have been freed
For He cleansed the soil
And he planted the seed
The choices I make
Will only then show
If the seed will die or grow
We will reap just what we sow

My life was so empty,
But He filled it up
A great leap of faith,
Then I drank from His cup
Then the sun, it shone in,
From darkness to light
The lamb that was soiled
Now pure, clean and white

For years in my life
I only could mock
He makes me need
To be a part of his flock
I will no longer stray
I'll dispose of my pride
With You I will stay
I will stand by Your side

Thank you for Your mercy
Thank you for Your Grace
Because of Your will
I am back in the race
I fell off the path
But You made me rise
You show me the world
Through different eyes
So now I can see
I'm not blind anymore
From the destructive storm
You pulled me ashore
My vessel You guided
My hand You held tight
You never let go
You showed me Your fight
For Your plan is so perfect
Your plan is so sweet
Because of Your love
You make me complete.
