My Sister Poem by chris schwartz

My Sister

Rating: 4.5

You have found Grace.
Grace has forgiven you.
What a glorious cop out
To excuse yourself
From what you have taken
From others.
Those with no experience
In heartbreak
Tend to find a way
To frost over
Everything they have done wrong.
Your letter to Mom and Dad.
You hurt them too,
You know.
So instead of
blaming me
For killing them
Take responsibility
For what you did.
Maybe there is a reason
I find time
To put flowers on their graves
Every year
While you find time to
Ignore
That your family
Ever existed.
If you would have looked
Past your own selfish motives
You would have seen
That We were hurting
Far more than you will ever know.
And still, the eyes of
The Fox
Still go Unteathered
The winds are on her side.
Til she buries Little Red
Lost sister
A part of her,
In a cave,
Dark and Cold,
That belongs to you.
