My Sunshine Poem by Ankita Kashyap

My Sunshine

Looking for the sunshine,
my heart is too upbeat,
for this morning time.

The quietness yet I am not alone,
while walking this path,
I am strangely singing a happy song.

I look left and I look right,
It is just nature in the sight,
so, I run and take my flight.

Before, I knew I was in the air,
Looking beneath at the small enormous things,
the dry fields with a dark green layer.

Then, when I looked up,
I saw a blue shimmer of sky,
and heard an inner violin asking – “Wassup? ”

I closed my eyes and smiled,
to feel, to soak,
the soft morning sunshine.

Nobody holds me.
Nothing holds me.
Nothing actually ever did.
But, I am actually wondering,
what took me so long,
to take this flight,
It was easy,
It is fun,
And this sunshine is all,
that I ever wanted.
Everything else was just,
its sheer reflection.
