My Sweet Daydreams Poem by Alaa ...

My Sweet Daydreams

surrounded everyday by people
people, all puzzled and confused
speaking a language i failed to comprehend
with hopes burned and minds unused

under the dark sky and the misery
my people carry more heavy burdens
and i think of her, i ask 'where is she? ! '
my little bird to come and throw the curtains

oh here she comes my only bird
'where have you been i miss you! '
'...i was struggling with the crowd
its so sad down here, you were so true'

i order my bird to build the wall
the wall we build everyday
i order her to stay by and close
to listen to the poetry i will say

she sees the love and follows the light
and wonders happily in my sky
she stays close as i told her
but gets blown away by my sigh

the sigh of passion, the love, the words
and the long kisses of the peaceful night
she blushes when she sees him come
his hands so soft to hold me tight

oh no! the horn scares my bird away
and ashes becomes my golden wall
i beg her to return and i cry
for seeing my huge wall fall

'don't cry my dear' she whispers
'your tears should only be for love'
i will come back i promise
and bring more friends from skies above

i wait for her to come back as promised
to build my wall, and sweeten my dream
i returned back and he was there
and all the same was my gorgeous scheme

now my bird comes to kiss and say goodbye
and i go to bed, pure of grieve and sorrow
i know it's illusion..but it's only daydreams
that get me through today and tomorrow
