My True Love Poem by London Love Poems

My True Love

Thinking back to the day
that we met, the very
first time I laid
my eyes on you.

That was the very
first day that I knew
that I'd found you.

I said hello
to be polite, I just
had to.
It was love at
first sight.

The radiant smile
to which you gave
brightened up
my whole day.

From that day on
I'd walked in the park
hoping that I'd
see you there.

I kept your smile
inside my heart
and that's what kept
me going there.

It wasn't until I
was out posting
a birthday card, did
I see you again.

My heart started
pounding with passion
as you smiled
at me again.

I couldn't let you
walk away without
asking you your name.

But before I could
you turned
and asked me the same.

We stood there
talking in the rain
not once did you look away.

I said that I was happy
to have met you again
just as you smiled
and said the same.

Now we walk together
my life's never been
the same, knowing
it wouldn't have been
possible.

If I hadn't stopped
to ask you your name.
