My Twilight Love - Poem by Roy William Gotaas

In the shadow of a dream
My twilight love sighs peacefully
Into my pillow,
Every armless night,

Her sepulchre unbroken.
I am not dead nor risen:
Only sinking by her side
To be forgiven.
