My Worst Enemy Poem by Anonymous Rose

My Worst Enemy

I've found you, my enemy,
So far, thou playest hide-and-seek.

Often I caught thy shadow,
But you, a master at sneak.

The path you chose, the pace you follow,
Witty is thy nature, evident in thy streak.

Thy residence in my Innerself? ! You bravo!
A deceit, a mask, soft in thy speak.

It took so long to recognise you,
Your runway leads to a high peak.

Beware all my dears, who follow,
excise this whisperer early lest it gets freak.
