Myself And The Orphan # 4: The Happiest Days Of Your Life Lie Just Straight Ahead

After walking for so many miles
And however many minutes and hours it took
We've arrived at a place where you can be loved
And where people can care for you
And can take care of you as well

I talk with the people here
They all believe they can help you
There's nothing for you to fear

I know you and I have been together, side by side in such a short amount of time
But I can tell the times we've shared had to feel like a lifetime

But this is the end
Where you and I must part
We share a final hug
And tears slide down your face
But I give you something to remember me by
I'll always be your friend
Just remember that
You have a wonderful and pure heart
Things will get better for you
There's hope for you in this place

Just remember
The happiest days of your life lie just straight ahead
There's happiness and hope for the first time in your life
