N Then Us - Poem by BladesongRaven Gehrig

i am a living doll
as plastic n hollow
as the world
now outta control.....

slaves to masters
in the shadows
devouring souls

hungry for power
see how they grow,
fat cats pulling strings
n we dance

beautiful puppets,
reaching for invisible strings....
gotta get that money,
flashes of gold
haunt the dreams

so many blindfolded,
n then us
completely helpless
screaming in the sun.....
