Name The Names Poem by Asma Khan

Name The Names

Rating: 4.0

How I wonder what you are?
Life is a drag
one may not brag
but to keep it going
just shut it in a bag

Dreams are ice creams
on the sugary streams
for eyes past midnight
lick them without any screams

Friends are golden grains
a few may not have brains
others are good to go with
no moods and no complains

Money is a hope
with no tied up rope
you never know what to expect
it just slips like a soap

Fate has no trait
it does a lot of debate
one can't control it
otherwise it may irritate

Work is a daily challenge
you soak it or dip in the sponge
its neither a friend nor a foe
but may get off you in a lunge

Deal can be a conceal
sure, you may not appeal
get your hats on for rain
or else the time will steal

Knowledge is another name of zeal
eat the apple and do not peel
cover all distances offered
even if you have to walk on your heel

Love can be all over and above
touch this bird with a glove
walk alongside it but
do not talk to the dove

Success is just more than winning
draw your efforts to this binning
its no harm to fly higher
ignore the ones who call it sinning

Failure is not just a loss
it teaches you like a boss
to flavor your spaghetti
you do need a yummy sauce!

Death is true
do not go in low and blue
We all will have to die
So didn't you knew?

Promises are so fake
one must not just make
call a spade spade but
do not put everything on a stake
