Nameless Poem by abu tarek md tahsin

Nameless

Rating: 5.0

Nameless
she was born
on a well trodden street.

Nameless
in a man's world
she struggled
for her freedom in captivity.

Captive she was
in a world
which was tired of greed and lust.

Nameless
she was
and nameless she will be,
for what name would you give?

a child of only fifteen
selling flowers by the traffic lights
as melancholy as she.

days wither
but she blooms
upon the streets
made of gravel and stones.

Nameless
she is
to you and me.

For the gods don't have names
for a child like she
a child so fragile
a child so sweet
like dew drops
on a petal of rose.

Nameless she is
here in the streets of Dhaka
for those who dare to care
for the nameless many
begging in a Bangladesh
where many has plenty.
