Nature's Soliloquy Poem by Luis Steven

Nature's Soliloquy

My only friend is the pen I use to stain my heart on these pages
My only companion dwells in my mind trying to find what a sage is
And it's outrageous
These different stages we go through in life
Happy, sad, mad, sad, doing good, doing bad
I know it's a rad world we live in
But it takes all I have not to give in
And all I have isn't much
But I'll give it all away just for a touch
From the trees and a taste of the breeze
Because even when I don't feel like being me
Being outside sitting silently listening intently
To what the world has to offer me, inspires me
Natures soliloquy breathes new life into me
Shockingly, sitting so silently, staring so softly, surprisingly
Sets my sights for my heart to see
For my soul to breathe.
