Natures Canvas Poem by Ken Barrett

Natures Canvas

I look out the window at a canvas of white,
In natures picture the sun shines bright.
The skies are clear on this snow covered day,
As I dress up all warm to go out and play.
I take my first step through the virgin snow,
My cheeks glow red as the cold wind blows.
I'm all bundled up as I play with delight,
Until the sun gives way to the starry night.
I head back inside with frost on my nose,
As I sit by the fire warming my toes.
